Here is the Church

I was scrolling across facebook and this quote rolled across my page.

Since Cary and I planted Verge a little over a year ago, the church has changed so much in my mind.  I have seen relationships built and disciples in the making.  The way I view what it means to "do" church is drastically different that in years past.  Week after week,  we pour our heart and energy into setting up the Malco Theater into Verge Church.  We don't have a building, we don't' have a permeant place to call our home base.  But we have each other.  A group of people that stay connected every week through communication.  Not through a building or a program or anything else we program in.  At Verge we encourage people to become involved.....Involved in their family, in their friends lives, and in their community.  When you make a commitment to have a relationship with someone it takes work.  It takes sacrifice.  It's hard to love people  It's so much easier to just stay at home in our own little worlds. But that is not what we are called to do.  At Verge, peoples lives are changing and people are changing lives.  And it's because God is alive and well, working in our church, our people.
